Mar Baselios College of Nursing celebrated “International Nurses Day” on 11th May 2024 in the College auditorium at 10am. International Council of Nurses has declared the themefor this year as “ Our Nurses Our Future, The Economic Power of Care”. The program was hosted by Ms. ArpitaRawal and Ms. ArchanaMariya, B.Sc Nursing II year.
The Program started with a prayer song followed by lighting of Florence lamp by all the dignitaries as a tribute tonurses day. Ms. GauriNadhana, student of B.Sc (N) III year welcomed all the guests. Prof. Ranjitha Rajesh, Principal, MBCON, unfolded the theme and congratulated all the nurses on this special day. A cake was cut to mark the birth anniversary of the Pioneer of Nursing, “FLORENCE NIGHTINGALE” which was followed by the message of the day was delivered by Rev. Dr. Reni Mudampally, Director, MBCON, which was followed by melodious song by B.Sc (N) II year students. Later prize were given to the winners who took part in photography competition and the 1st prize was bagged by Ms. Dani James B.SC (N) IV year, MsRinu Roy B.SC (N)won 2nd prize, Ms. R. Shythra B.SC (N) IV year won 3rd prize and Ms. NehaThoms B.SC (N) III year was appreciated by all for bagging 1st prize of 5OOO/ rs in reel making competition organized by Chirayu College of Nursing Bhopal. The event came to an end with the vote of thanks by Ms. Ann Maria Benny, student of B.Sc Nursing IIyear followed by college anthem.
